Thanks for sending in canned goods for Giving Week (which ended on Nov. 14th.) --  We will publish a total as soon as we have it.

THANKS SO MUCH TO ALL WHO PARTICIPATED IN OUR THANKSGIVING LUNCH!  Thanks to all our parents who exhibited great patience and we especially appreciate the cafeteria ladies, Ms. May, and all our staff who went the "extra mile" to make sure the day ran smoothly.  And a big THANKS to all our students who behaved so well and helped in so many areas.

Thanks also for participating in our WALK-A-THON  --  Money is due Nov. 21st.

Ridgetopper After School Program

  Ridgetopper Aftercare is open from dismissal until 6 PM each day.  Computer lab, homework tutorial, and fun activities are provided daily.  If you are interested in this service, please contact director Tashi Wanner at 859-0026 or contact by email at tashi.wanner@rcstn.net.

*Ask your child about school each day.

*Bedtime is important. Make sure your child gets enough sleep.

*Choose activities your child will like. Leave time for play.

*Do things together. Car time is a great time for talking.

*Eat together as a family as often as you can.

*Find a quiet place for you child to study.

*Get to know your child's teacher.

*Homework helps kids learn. Set a regular study time.

*Involve your child in making decisions whenever you can.

*Join your school's parent-teacher organization.

*Know the school's rules. Your child should know them, too.

*Libraries are free. Visit your library often.

*Make some special time to spend with your child.

*Notice and discuss any changes in your child's behavior.

*Organization saves time. Have a special place for school supplies.

*Play games together.

*Questions help children learn. Help find the answers.

*Read with your child.

*Share a hobby or interest with your child.

*Turn off the TV.

*Urge your child to do his best in school.

*Volunteer your time at your child's school.

*Work near your child when he is doing homework.

*X-tra hugs are a great way to say "I Love You!"

*Yield good results by praising your child.
