Then and Now.........
Cheatham Park Elementary School was built in 1952. The Superintendent of Schools was C. F. Fisher.

bandstand in the old City  
The photo above is the monument (standing in
front of the bandstand) of John Cheatham prior to being removed for the construction of Cheatham Park. The Cheatham family donated the property for the old City Cemetery.   Renovations were made to the building in the late 1990's. Major renovations were made in 2000. This added a new wing to the left of the building. 
Classes moved in to the new wing of the building in January of 2001.  This picture is a view from the front driveway of Cheatham Park. |
